A friend commissioned this piece and gave me full creative freedom beyond the fact that she wanted something in the Big Sur series. These paintings of the California coast are built from seemingly random colors and shapes that gradually fall into place, forming landscapes that feel emotionally familiar. There is something I love so much about that.
Some original paintings are available as canvas or paper prints upon request. While this original is no longer available, I'd love to create a custom piece inspired by it or we could dream up something totally new together!
