About Hannah
Hannah Cunningham is an Oklahoma City-based artist exploring themes of memory, place, and self. Influenced by early creative experiences in her grandmother's art room, she learned from an early age to trust and follow creative impulse- a practice that now feels second nature. Primarily a painter and collage artist, Hannah also has academic and professional experience in graphic design, photography, and art curation. These worlds inform her visual choices and creative decision making, which live in the space between instinct and structure.
Hannah's large-scale paintings often explore abstracted landscapes, where unfamiliar forms merge into emotionally familiar spaces, led by a bold and intentional use of color. In her collages, she combines found, often vintage, materials to evoke a sense of nostalgia. As a highly sensitive and deeply intuitive creative, Hannah works from a place of heightened awareness. This allows her to stay close to both emotional and creative intelligence- to notice, to trust herself and what unfolds before her.
Hannah currently works full time from her studio in Oklahoma City.
